Parallel Lines
"There are millions of ways to tell a story. There's only one way to watch one". In collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates (RSA), the renowned film production company founded by Sir Ridley Scott, Philips has developed five very different films with an overarching theme: Parallel Lines.

Using the same dialogue, five prominent directors (Greg Fay, Johnny Hardstaff, Carl Erik Rinsch, Jake Scott and Hi-Sim) made groundbreaking short films in the genres of drama, action, animation, science fiction and thriller. This project is part of a new global campaign to promote the unique home cinema experience, which Philips provides. View the five short films here.

Challenge
Philips globally challenges filmmakers to make a sixth film in this range. The goal of this challenge is an original short film to complement this groundbreaking series of short films, called Parallel Lines.

The finalists will be judged on criteria like creativity of the story, use of dialogue and technical performance. The ten finalists will be selected by directors of RSA and David Parfitt, chairman of the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA).
From the top five finalists, Sir Ridley Scott will personally select the final winner. The lucky winner gets the chance to go on a one-week professional experience in an office of Ridley Scott Associates (RSA) in LA, New York, London or Hong Kong. Members of Brandfighters get the opportunity to advance their film, to be reviewed by a number of famous directors and producers from the Netherlands.
