In collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates, Philips produced five different movies within the theme: Parallel Lines. Five renowned film directors created five revealing short films based on one simplified script. Philips is now challenging film makers worldwide to make the sixth short movie!
What about… Ridley Scott: the famous director?
Sir Ridley Scott is a famous English film director and producer, having shot many successful films. You can recognize his films trough his stylish visuals and his obsession for detail. A selection of his films: the Blade Runner, Hannibal, American Gangsters and the Gladiator.
In 1968, Ridley Scott and his brother Tony Scott founded Ridley Scott Associaties (RSA), a film and commercial production company who also produced the five short films for Philips. The 73-year-old-director has been in this business for many years now, but it seems like he can’t get enough of it. Ridley Scott is one of the top directors in the world and a role model for many young directors.
What about… Ridleys newest movie: Robin Hood?
Ridleys new film ‘Robin Hood’ is one of his master works. The character Robin Hood, is played by Rusell Crowe, also known from the Gladiator. ‘Robin Hood’ was the opening film at the Cannes Film Festival 2010. Haven’t seen this film yet? Watch the trailer here:
